Magpie #61 Celebrating Us...

Motivational Photography
prompt by Tess Kincaid
Challenge by Magpie Tales

momentous                     memories
celebrated
you, me, this sweet, wine, nectar
lulling my mind, igniting my body
producing this infatuation with your
lips, so full, created for pleasurous
kissing, captivating me with the
warmth of your
bear
paws
 upon
my
face
oh
forever love

Very clever! I love it. 'pleasurous kissing' just rolls off the tongue! and 'bear paws' - good writing.

I do enjoy the creative effort you put into your Magpie poems ... thanks for leaving me a comment - no, I'm not waiting for biopsy results now ~ though I have many times for pesky skin cancers. Always a little terrifying, more than a few positive results and surgery to fix me up.

This was very creative in form and substance. I liked the playful nature..."bear paws" for example. Spoke to me of enduring tenderness. Well done. Vb

Wonderful in its simplicity
and warm in its sentiment;
this is a lovely paean to still
being in love with your spouse,
and the intervention of alcohol
as catalyst for affection.
Fine job.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and commenting. Your poem is lovely.

I noted you live in Henderson, NV. I lived in Vegas for a few years (attended UNLV briefly, met my hubby there) back in the early '80s. It has changed a lot since then. But some of my most wonderful life memories happened in Vegas. :)

I loved how you set this up like a champagne glass, Donna. And I loved this tribute that I'm thinking you wrote for your husband! So very nice!!
