Some Days...

Reality

"And so she smiled
  As sweet as can be
In the face of the monster
  Called reality.

by Adina Levitan

Some days there is just so much to do and some days my energy level lags behind my drive to get things accomplished...

Some days, things just don't go the way I want them to.

Some days, I am angry as hell and wonder why things aren't going my way...

Some days I feel frustrated, agitated and I cuss a lot...

Some days, I just can't see clearly. I forget faith, the good stuff and the life lessons I've learned...

All I can do is my best effort each day.  If it takes me several days longer than planned, big deal, I am retired, so what.

I may have a plan, how I want things to go... but the Universe or God may have me scheduled for some personal tweaking...    Eventually, I will catch on and go with His plan...

Some days, this scruffy, strawberry-blond doggy, comes to me with her big brown eyes, wanting me to pick her up.  She licks my face and I start to laugh...she helps me relax and reconnect...

Thanks, I really needed that...

Extremely timely post for me, Donna. I'm starting to come out of my doldrums and this is just the sort of stuff I need to hear.

I hear you, Donna. Lately I get so depressed when I read the news and see all the pain and suffering around me. Even when I give thanks for my own good fortune, I feel so bad for those who can't find work, or find they have a terminal illness, or have a natural disaster wash away their entire lives...

And then I read about my blogging buddies and how they cope. A good friend like that doggy is one of the best parts of life. Or like you.

I truly understand, Donna. I think you summed up a lot of us with this post of yours. I could echo a lot of what you said here, so neat Izzy is such a dear companion/friend of yours to know when you need some "loving" from her

It´s amazing how dogs will feel what we feel. They are not just a "man´s" best friend.
Hope your weekend will be better!

Everything, it seems, takes me longer than I think it ought to...that includes just getting around to it. Consistency challenges me. Been a while since I was here, please excuse, and I love your painting, Star Gazer. It has the quality of those Hubble photos that are so extraordinary we think they're paintings. A big hug to you. xo

Some days I wonder why I blog, keeping up is so hard, yet I have met so many interesting people. Oh to find a balance :)
