Oh, you're so right there Donna. The sight of that swing immediately transported me back to when I was a little girl, and even a teenager. We have a double swing at the end of the garden, and I have a lovely photo of hubby and I swinging on it, with a young grandchild on each lap!
Ahh, so true! Pumping my legs so hard, the rush of the wind in my face and the butterflies in my stomach as I swing down from on high! Thanks for the memories!

that looks like so much fun. why amy was 10-11, she got her hair caught in a tree swing. it was awful. but, they sure are fun.

Our swing on a limb about 25 ft. up in an old Tulip Tree, recently broke...it's a daunting task now to fix it...we're older! :)
Definitely a time machine. Very primitive in the moving parts department, but a time machine nevertheless. :-)
A lot of good memories!
I remember some harrowing moments when we pushed it hard one day and it came back empty. There were some bruises but nothing serious.
Doesn't that just take one back to the free and fun days of childhood!
This is simply delightful!
