Nicolas Tournier's Banquet Scene with lute player
Photograph prompt by Tess Kincaid
Writing/Poetry challenge hostessed by Magpie Tales
Interesting alternate painting I found below...same painting
with different lighting for contrast
making the women look different...
Nicolas Tournier's Merry Company
Twins
separated at birth
each emotionally
intellectually
connected
individually
living
separate lives
moments in time
shared instantly
hypnotised by
the experience
of the other
unaware
of what
she
herself
is
living...
disconnected
by a cruel fate....

Interesting take on the prompt!
How fabulously original! Love it.
Perhaps so. Looking at the two different edits of the same painting made me think of how identical twins would see each other: identical objects through inevitably different ways of seeing.
P.S. Google image painfully reveals the frustration of trying to digitise/photograph traditional art. Always such a mess. :)
Really enjoyed the perspective of the twin ladies in your Magpie ....
I like what you did with this one. Very different.
Solid, telling (not showing) work/concept.
I like this clever take.
