"We are the choices we make...
No one understands
when a woman
makes the choice
to marry and
have children,
in a way,
her love begins
and one way, it stops...
You build a life
of details
and you just STOP
and STAY STEADY
so that your children can move...
and when they leave,
they take your life and details with them...
You are expected
to move on again,
but you don't remember
what it was that moved you
because no one
has asked you in so long...
not even yourself...
You never think
love like this
is going to happen to you...
and you want to keep it forever."

The Bridges of Madison County

I've seen that movie twice and remember her saying that. Have you read the book? I also read it twice since it's short and sweet.
I hope you are doing well, I've missed seeing your smiling face around the blogosphere.
these are powerful words, Donna. I didn't see the movie nor read the book. but these words did speak to me today.
I love the new picture you put as your blog header picture! Gorgeous!
enjoy the weekend and if you don't post between now and Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving!

Loved the book and movie!
Beautiful words for us on this Friday my friend. Take care and have a good weekend. I do hope that your mum is doing okay at the moment. I have been remembering you all in my prayers x
It has been years since I read the book - I was surprised to find that was the source. This so perfectly describes what I'm feeling at this phase of my life. Thank you for sharing.
This is thought provoking. Life moves on. Loved the movie by the way.
Words that make one think indeed.
